Open by Design – The FOI Act and Information Release in WA

The OIC is pleased to release its publication Open by Design – The FOI Act and Information Release in WA.

This new publication is designed to assist and encourage agencies to develop appropriate Open by Design policies and processes to facilitate effective information release beyond the formal access procedures outlined in the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (WA) (the FOI Act).

It builds on the Joint Statement of Principles to support proactive disclosure of government-held documents, published by the Australian Information Access Commissioners and Ombudsmen in September 2021.
