Information Access Studies 2019, 2021 and 2023

In 2019, in conjunction with Information Access Commissioners from NSW, Victoria, Queensland, the Commonwealth of Australia and the ACT Ombudsman, the WA Information Commissioner sponsored an information access study as part of Australia’s Open Government National Action Plan 2018–2020.

The Information Access Studies measure citizens’ awareness of the right to access government information, and their experiences and outcomes in exercising that right. Western Australia has participated in studies every two years. The studies are coordinated by the Information and Privacy Commissioner of New South Wales and conducted by Woolcott Research and Engagement.
