Join us for the 2019 FOI in WA Conference on 21 November.

Emeritus Professor Geoff Gallop is the Conference keynote speaker. Professor Gallop was the 27th Premier of Western Australia, from 2001 to 2006 during a 20-year career in state parliament.

Following his speech Professor Gallop will be joined by the Auditor General Caroline Spencer; the Director General of the Department of Communities Michelle Andrews; and the CEO of the City of Gosnells Ian Cowie,  in a discussion led by the Information Commissioner about the role and challenges of FOI and open government in the current environment.

The Conference theme is ‘Building Trust’.  The program will include panel discussions, workshops and lectures.  The sessions offered during the day-long conference will provide resources and practical guidance for those managing FOI in their agencies and giving effect to the objects of the FOI Act.
